The only reason this court isn't getting a comprehensive review is because one of their Sheriffs, stationed at front door security, was helpful and kind. With that being said... their handyman who looked of Hispanic descent was hostile, racist, and disrespectful towards me when I needed to pay my fine. Again, he is blessed for The Don's Mercy in this scenario as the Sheriff acting as security saved a telling review.

Let's just say one of their judges who was recently caught drunk driving and hit a bus is right back on the bench. The way people are treated here is sad and embarrassing. They are a perfect example of the "rotating door" injustice system, where whether you are guilty or not, you plea down, and get on with your life. The police and detectives barely do their jobs, or maybe they are just incompetent. This is not how justice should work. I'm thankful not to live in Macomb county.

Offer Halilla is extremely rude!! Vandyke, the speed limit changes often the speed limit was 35. I was going 45 honestly didnโt know the speed limit was 35 normally when an officer pulls you over they ask you hey why were you speeding? He was just like you were doing this blah blah blah blah he didnโt even give you a chance to explain And although he gave me a ticket with no points, I still booked a court date because I need to explain myself, but he didnโt even let me talk in the courtroom because he gave me a ticket for no insurance when I had insurance there was a payment issue. !!! Itโs funny because when you get a ticket and Shellby Township, they give you a chance to explain yourself and they wouldโve waved the insurance charge for me!! and in the courtroom, not just me the way that he was talking to other people it was extremely rude. He yelled at someone because they were in their bed doing the court hearing the person was dressed up. Why does it matter where they are? And why wasnโt the judge involved? Why was the judge letting the officer due the hearings why wasnโt the judge involved when he was rude to? I donโt get why this court has judges if the judges are not gonna d

Terrible experience especially with Judge Suzanne Faunce. She was incredibly rude and dismissive. Not only to myself but to my court appointed attorney as well. She asked numerous people ahead of us if there was anything they wanted the court to know before her ruling and with us she did not. My attorney attempted to explain and give context to the matter but was met with her telling him she did not want to hear about it. She also did not ask how much time I needed to pay the ticket the way she did everyone else. And she sneered mockingly at my attorney when he said he would like to waive attorney fees. She then gave me two weeks to pay when she gave a young lady before me 3 months. The young woman before me had 2 tickets, 2 children 1 older, 1 younger and had just began employment. I on the other hand had just 1 ticket for impeding traffic (something I did not do but was plead down to alleviate additional costs and an even lengthier process), am also a mother of twins who are both disabled. When Ms. Faunce (because honestly, calling this woman โhonorableโ or โjudgeโ seems to be an insult to the bench due to her unprofessionalism in the court room. Not just during my preceding but

Officer Hamilla pulled me over for driving and turning right in a marked bike lane. He walked up to my truck and gave me a speech about the bike lane even though I told him I had just came out of McDonald's. He preceded to raise his voice and while I was waiting for the insurance he said you better have it! He wrote the ticket for Impeding Traffic and went on to pull over 3 more black drivers. I waited around to watch and saw two white drivers ride in the bike lane but he didn't stop them. I called to make a court date and when I got to court Officer Hamilla took me in the hallway and started yelling at me because I didn't pay the ticket. He took his personal phone out and took a picture of my ticket in the courtroom. The judge came out and defended his behavior so I paid the ticket because he might show up to my house and unalive me because he was extremely angry that I showed up to court.
